Der türkische Tenor Deniz Yilmaz studierte am Staatskonservatorium in Adana und gab sein Operndebüt an der Oper Mersin in seiner Heimat. Nach seinem anschließenden Studium in Berlin (UdK, Klass KS Gabriele Schnaut) wurde er Mitglied des Opernstudios der Oper Zürich.
Seine ersten Engagements führten ihn an das Nationaltheater Mannheim, an die Nederlandse Reisoper, an die Oper Oslo und das Concertgebouw Amsterdam (Zaterdag Matinee). Außerdem trat Deniz Yilmaz beim Festival in Colmar, Frankreich, beim Festival in Bursa, Türkei sowie beim Festival ‘Opera pa Skaret’ in Schweden auf.
Zu den vergangenen Engagements des Sängers gehören u. a. Florestan am Teatro Colon, Opera de Colombia, Theater Koblenz und Theater Osnabrück, Cavaradossi am Staatstheater Darmstadt, Theater Koblenz und Theater Hagen, Don Jose an der Nederlandse Reisopera, Erik am Theater Regensburg und Landestheater Detmold, Samson am Theater Koblenz, Radames in Volendam und Jarbas am Züricher Opernhaus.
Außerdem war er als Vito ('Mala vita' von Giordano) am Stadttheater Giessen, Tannhäuser am Staatstheater Darmstadt und
Jim Mahoney am Theater Koblenz zu erleben.
Am Theater Regensburg hat er die wichtigen Partien seines Faches (u.a. Otello, Calaf, Werther und Max) interpretiert.
Letzte Engagements beinhalten Cavaradossi mit Bursa Symphoniker (Türkei) und Gala Konzert am Tivoli Vredenburg in Utrecht.
Der Sänger nahm an zahlreichen Meisterklassen teil, unter anderem bei Francisco Araisa, Thomas Moser und Dolora Zajick, und er ist Preisträger des Dykowitch-Wettbewerbs in Bulgarien. Deniz Yilmaz arbeitete mit Dirigenten wie Nello Santi, Ádám Fisher, Eivind Gullberg Jensen, Ingo Metzmacher sowie mit Regisseuren wie Giancarlo del Monaco, Grischa Asagaroff und Jens-Daniel Herzog zusammen.

Deniz Yilmaz studied at the State Conservatory in Adana and made his operatic debut at the Mersin Opera in Turkey.
He also studied in Berlin’s UdK in the class of KS Gabriele Schnaut and was a member of International Opera Studio at the Zurich Opera house.
Mr. Yilmaz’s first engagements took him to the Nationaltheater Mannheim, the Nederlandse Reisoper, the Oslo Opera, and the Concertgebouw Amsterdam (Zaterdag Matinee). He performed at the Colmar festival in France, at the Bursa festival in Turkey, and at the Opera pa Skaret festival in Sweden.
Deniz Yilmaz appeared as Florestan at the Teatro Colon, Opera de Colombia, Theater Koblenz and Theater Osnabrück, as Cavaradossi at the Staatstheater Darmstadt, Theater Koblenz and Theater Hagen, as Don Jose at the Nederlandse Reisopera and as Erik at Theater Regensburg and Landestheater Detmold, as Samson at Theater Koblenz, as Radames in Volendam
and Jarbas at the Zurich Opera House.
Among Mr. Yilmaz’s engagements are Vito in Mala Vita by Giordano at the Stadttheater Giessen, Tannhäuser at the Staatstheater Darmstadt and Jim Mahoney at the Theater Koblenz.
At Theater Regensburg, Deniz Yilmaz performed the most important roles of his repertoty, including Otello, Calaf, Werther, and Max.
Recent engagements include Cavaradossi with the Bursa Symphony Orchestra (Turkey) and a Gala concert at the Tivoli Vredenburg in Utrecht.
Deniz Yilmaz took part in numerous master classes, including those with Francisco Araisa, Thomas Moser, and Dolora Zajick, among others. Mr. Yilmaz is a prizewinner of the Dykowitch Competition in Bulgaria. Deniz Yilmaz worked with conductors such as Nello Santi, Ádám Fisher, Eivind Gullberg Jensen, and Ingo Metzmacher. He also performed with directors like
